Over the past decade, and especially during the full-scale war, Ukraine has become a hub of contemporary creativity, making significant contributions to fields such as art, interior design, fashion, crafts, photography, ethnographic photography, gastronomy, and more. Since 2020, Creative Publishing has been documenting these achievements by publishing gift-format books dedicated to Ukraine’s contemporary creative culture.
The publications showcase the best works of Ukrainian creatives and feature insightful essays by experts, offering a glimpse into the world of talented people, projects, and innovations that the country can be proud of. These projects are a testament to the creative spirit and energy of Ukrainians, as well as a promise of a better future. The books are published in English and Ukrainian, allowing readers from around the world to discover the richness of Ukraine’s contemporary creative culture. The founder of the publishing house is Lucia Bondar, who is also the author or co-author of all the publications.
Creative Publishing has successfully completed a joint project with teNeues—one of the world’s leading publishers of high-quality and exclusive books in the fields of photography, travel, nature, architecture, design, lifestyle, culture, and art. A unique book, The Beauty of Ukraine: Landscape Photography, featuring photographs by world-renowned Ukrainian photographer Yevhen Samuchenko, was published.

The Telegraph included it in its list of 2022’s Most Stunning Travel Photography Books, as well as in the world’s most prestigious ranking of the Best Books of 2023. Additionally, the publication has repeatedly appeared on Amazon’s bestseller lists in the Landscape Photography and Travel Photography categories.
In 2023, gestalten, one of the world’s leading book publishers, collaborated with publisher Lucia Bondar to release the book Ukraine Rising | Contemporary Creative Culture from Ukraine. Lucia Bondar conceived the idea, and Creative Publishing provided editorial support for the project. A large international team worked on creating this unique publication, which showcases the impressive achievements of Ukrainian talents across all fields—interior design, graphic design, art, photography, contemporary crafts, fashion, and more.
The book features the work of 75 Ukrainian creatives and includes insightful essays by renowned experts. Ukraine Rising is available in the world’s most renowned libraries, sold in all major book chains worldwide, and featured in contemporary art museums—including the most prestigious institutions in Europe, Canada, the U.S., Australia, and beyond. For example, in London, the book is available at the Royal Academy of Arts—a leading institution in the arts.
Creative Publishing collaborates with numerous international cultural organizations around the world. It also has a positive track record of working with the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, which supported the PRODUCT DESIGN in Ukraine project.
