Anna Senik is a Ukrainian photographer, social and political activist. She is the founder of the direction of Ukrainian ethno-photography, has been working in this genre for over 11 years. In cooperation with collectors, museums, expert ethnographers and folk craftsmen, she recreates Ukrainian folk clothes and creates bright, atmospheric photo shoots that are a delight in Ukraine and become famous all over the world.
In her work, Anna uses authentic vintage clothing, objects of antiquity, as well as reconstructions of authentic things. The locations are museums of folk architecture, ancient private estates that have been preserved to this day, the photographer also often works in nature and in the countryside.
Anna Senik’s works represent Ukrainian traditions and culture abroad at numerous exhibitions, are published in well-known international media, in Ukraine – decorate book covers, become illustrative material for historical projects.
