Oleksandr Barbolin began creating collages in 2018. The artist’s first works were analogue – Oleksandr used vintage magazines and posters to make art from clippings. Later, he started using a mixed technique: printing a digital collage on canvas then adding acrylic elements and oil paints. For Oleksandr, art is an inseparable part of life, a way of self-expression. He is inspired by people, books, travels, urban architecture and cinema. His works were presented at personal exhibitions in galleries of many countries around the world.
